Delegate Registration:

Day 1 (15 Oct)

Registration will take place from 9:00-9:40 adjacent to the entrance of the Francis Crick Auditorium. You will be given a name badge and a conference bag. Please wear your name badge at all times when on the grounds of the Wellcome Genome Campus. The Forum will conclude at 17:50 and the drinks reception and gala dinner going from 18:00-21:00.

Day 2 (16 Oct)

Registration will take place in the James Watson Pavilion from 09:00-09:30.

Wi-Fi
Complimentary Wi-Fi internet access is available in the venue via the ‘ConferenceGuest’ network. There is no password, but you will need to follow the on-screen instructions to register (up to five devices). Please note that you need to validate your email address via a message automatically sent to your account. If you do not, the network will close after a short time.

Food
On Day 1, refreshments and finger foods will be available within the Exhibition Hall. The gala dinner (Day 1) will be served in the nearby Conference Centre Restaurant. If you wish to inform us of any special dietary requirements, particularly for the gala dinner, please notify us in advance via enquiry@cambridgechinacentre.org.

Dress Code
Smart business attire.

Smoking
No smoking is permitted in the Conference Centre. There is however a designated smoking area next to the Conference Centre.

Storage & Coat Racks
There are luggage lockers available at the main reception of the Conference Centre. Coat racks are available next to the Forum registration table.

Filming and Photography
You will be entering an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur If you do not wish to be photographed, recorded or filmed, please inform the organisers.

Accommodation
The Wellcome Genome Campus has a wide range of convenient accommodation close to the Conference Centre. We would recommend further enquiries and booking through the Conference Centre’s reception staff on +44 (0)1223 495000.

Getting there:

By car:

From the North:
Leave the M11 at junction 10 (note that M11 junction 9 is restricted and only accessible from the South). Turn left at the roundabout and straight over the next roundabout. Travel a mile or so on the A505 in the direction of Saffron Walden. At the next roundabout take the third exit (signed A1301 towards Saffron Walden). Pass two turnings to Hinxton village (these go to the village only), and take a right, at the next roundabout, signposted on to the Genome Campus.

From the South:
Leave the M11 at junction 9 (signed A11 Newmarket) and take the first exit signed A1301 towards Cambridge. From the roundabout take the first left (about 800 m). At the next small roundabout follow the signpost left for the ‘Genome Campus’.

 

By train:

Whittlesford Parkway, Great Chesterford and Audley End are the closest railway stations to the Wellcome Genome Campus and these are all on the Cambridge-London Liverpool Street line. (Please note that Whittlesford and Great Chesterford stations do not have a taxi rank or telephone: use either Cambridge or Audley End stations if a taxi has not been pre-booked.) The journey time from London is approximately one hour.

Cambridge is the closest railway hub, it is on both the London King’s Cross and the London Liverpool Street line, and also serves trains coming from the north. Timetables available from National Rail Enquiries.

Upon arrival

When arriving at the Wellcome Genome Campus by automobile, please approach the security kiosk in Lane 2. A member of the security team will check your name with those on the attendee list and direct you to the Conference Centre on your right. If no security officer is in the kiosk, please press the kiosk’s intercom button. For those parking onsite, please keep your parking permit clearly displayed.

For delegates arriving by taxi, please give your parking permit to the taxi driver to allow you closer and quicker access.
